Short biography

 


After his studies at the Paris National Superior Conservatory of Music, Peio Çabalette back to his roots: the Basque country, where he develops an intense activity as a composer and teacher.

He has collaborated with instrumental ensembles as Euskadi Symphony Orchestra, Bayonne Côte Basque Orchestra, Orchestra of Pau Pays de Béarn, Proxima Centauri, Krater Ensemble or Commedia, and vocal ensembles as the Chamber Choir of Namur or Benjamin Britten Choir, with conductors such as Arturo Tamayo, Faycal Karoui, James Judd, Robert Delcroix, Stéphane Cardon, Xavier Delette, Iker Sanchez or Nicole Corti.

Peio Çabalette also worked for the ballet with choreographer Thierry Malandain as well as various theater and film productions.

Since 1991, he teaches the techniques of musical composition at the Maurice Ravel Conservatory of Bayonne Côte Basque.
